1. Thread 'Jack Nut' insert onto mandrel of installation tool, then insert all the way into the predrilled hole until the flange is firmly against the mounting surface
2. Fully collapse the insert, then remove the installation tool
3. Pass machione screw through the part to be fastened, and tighten until snug

Upon installation the slotted sleeve of the 'Jack Nut' collapses to form legs which grip the inside of the mounting surface, so providing a permanent, reusable screw anchor. Self-adjusting to material thickness, 'Jack Nut' can be used in a wide range of materials, including blow moulded plastics, hardboard and GRP. Standard products are zinc plated steel.
